Eleftherna
Eleftherna belongs to the province of Milopotamos, 25 klm southeastern of Rethymno. Since 1972 it has been characterized as a "landscape of especial natural beauty" and is a protected archeological site. Across the village there are the remains of one of the most important cities of ancient Crete.
