The route offers the chance for a direct access to Kalonihtis, via a path or a detour towards Roustika using provincial roads. The route from Kalonihtis to Ano Valsamonero is magical, particularly in the part of Petres River. The route towards Monopari goes through a lush green environment. Then, the plateau of Armenoi, where both the Minoan cemetery and the homonymous village are found, retains parts of past extended oak forests.
